The new Swiss-type automatic lathe,
the ST- 38, increases this line’s machining capacity to 38 mm.
The lathe’s triple-turret design was
specifically created to capitalize on si-
multaneous capabilities in an effort to
reduce overall machining time, a sig-
nificant benefit realized by the medi-
cal, aviation, and automotive indus-
tries, states the company.

The UX570 and UA2090 five-axis
VMCs will be on display with two oth-
er VMCs, three horizontal machining
centers (HMCs), and the Select G CNC
cylindrical
grinder.
The
UX570
five-axis,
gantry-style
VMC has
a dual ball
screw de-
sign in the Y axis that provides support
for the 14,000-RPM (optional 22,000)
spindle. A built-in high-torque motor
is equipped on the direct-drive table,
making high-speed indexing possible.
The UA2090 five-axis VMC is suitable for manufacturers with heavy-duty machining needs, the company
reports. This five-axis VMC features
an 8,000-RPM, CAT 50, 30/35-HP
spindle.
